Apple’s New Revolutionary iPad

Even though I have not seen it in person yet, I am excited as a little boy on his birthday, which in face is around when I will be getting my new iPad.

I just pre-ordered the mid range WiFI version today to be delivered on April 3rd. :-) Revolutionary is the word they use but Buzz words and creative imagery do not work on me like they used to. I do not watch television nor read conventional continent-based news. I do however love everything Apple. Now stop right there, I am not an Apple -only, rah rah rah kind of guy. I do not like everything Apple has to offer nor do I accept everything they do as right BUT when it comes to mobile devices I can and do use everyday…I am a fan. Sure I have a laptop, an iTouch, every generation of iPod, too many Mac desktops to count but no iPhone since my Blackberry and me are a bit inseparable and you say “You need more?”. I say yes! No, scratch that I say “Heck YEAH!”

I see the iPad as a platform for reducing the need to take my laptop, accessories and power supply everywhere I go and replace it with a scratch pad of sorts. I always feel overwhelmed with the need to design everytime I open my laptop when I should be writing my graphic novel, poetry or putting to words another great movie idea. I believe the iPad will do that for me. I just need a quick, easy, touch screen device that I can see clearly and can put my ideas to paper (so to speak) before they leave my head. The iTouch is too small, the laptop too cumbersome and time-consuming but the iPad appears to be just the thing and its coming soon. It will also give me access to the 130,000 Apps Apple already has in its App Store and I will be able to still play my time-waster games in between great thoughts. ;-)

I am a fan already and my faith in Apple and Steve Jobs will be put to the test on April 3, 2010 when the iPad Wi-Fi hits the streets and my hands.
