HOT SPOT across a broad spectrum of styles. This city has contributed some of the most innovative and popular musical artists in the country.

Showcase Live! shines a spotlight on the stage and into the lives of todayʼs most promising and original artists. Part concert performance and part interview, Showcase Live! takes its audience into the heart of the rhythms, the thoughts behind the notes.

Showcase Live! will be a 30-minute broadcast quality program, from local veteran production teams, each featuring one regional musician or band. Performances will be recorded live in concert at Mount Tabor Theatre inSE Portland. Interviews with artists will be conducted at dynamic Portlandlocations to help illustrate what so many talented have found their muse in the city of Roses.

KEEGAN SMITH

AND “THE FAM”

Portland, Oregon native Keegan Smith has been a staple of the Pacific Northwest music scene

for the last 5 years. He recently won landslide victories for Male Artist of the Year and Best

Live Performance at the 2009 and 2010 Portland Music Awards. The band is an eclectic mix

of musical heavyweights, producers, and band leaders from the Northwestʼs thriving music

scene. Keegan has embraced a new musical and artistic sound dubbed “Urban Americana,”

a unique blend of folk, pop, rock, rap, reggae and R&B that seem to reflect the quirkiness of his Portland roots and shares its charms.

SHEL BAILEY

Shel is a 20-year broadcasting and

marketing veteran, currently on air as Charlie Girl for Portland radioʼs 97.1 Charlie FM.

From 2000 to 2003 she recorded a syndicated news and entertainment program for Clear Channel radio from her home in the woods of North Idaho.

In 2004 she began co-hosting PDXposed on Fox 12 and became Executive Producer and on-air talent for the sketch comedy show Empty Noggin on PDX 49. As a bass and sax player, Shel fronts her own band, Luna Moon & SoulʼR.
